Plant Breeding

Early Varieties Soya UK Ltd is proud to be the UK agent for a number of varieties from the Institute of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Kiev, Ukraine. The Institute is a large-scale plant breeding station with 28 different crop development departments, making them one of the largest plant breeders in the World.

Soya, Lupins, and Millet all come from this breeding station, which is recognised as a world-leading centre for this work. (Picture on the right: Trials showing different varieties from the breeding programme.)

In addition to our association with the Institute in Kiev, Soya UK also enjoys good relations with other plant breeders in Eastern and Central Europe, and in other parts of the world.
